about

DESCRIPTION:

Last summer, I spent my week long vacation in Michigan starting & finishing a full-length album of instrumentals (obviously, the album was titled "Michigan"). Prior to my winter break, I decided that I would remedy a similar concept during my time off of school. Production for this album began after my winter break started at 1:10pm on the 23rd of this month, though I utilized some of my recent lyrics that I wrote prior to this time period. To stick close to the week-long time period, likewise to my "Michigan" album, this album was released within the last minute of 2015 (in Central Standard Time), meaning that this is one of the last albums of 2015.

What you folks will here today is a 10 track lineup of some of the music I worked on during this week during winter break, ranging from genres such as "Banjo & Kazooie"-esque instrumentals, & "Trump Rock" (don't ask me why). I hope you all enjoy it!

Also, if you decide to download this album, you will also be treated with the original demo for "Torn", which has a completely different vibe than the version that is in this album's official track-list.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

Jess - Conversation that inspired "If Trump Were President".
Chris - Gave many title suggestions (one of which became this album's actual title), the album cover, & feedback on the two different versions of the "Torn" track. He also released his album today. You should totally check that out: christophertom.bandcamp.com/album/christopher-tom
April & Josh - Playing some sick tunes with me on Skype (video of which was unfortunately lost due to a technical hiccup that somehow occurred because I had updated OBS a week prior).

Track Name: Torn
Verse:

What you gonna do in times like this when your way of life is threatened?
Cause it's dumb to isolate yourself, or charge ahead.
Everything must be strategic, but we must keep our morals in mind.
It's a battle that plagues the goodness that we saw in humankind.

Chorus:

Must we be correct or strong? Our nation's torn on what to do about something that could effect us all.
Everybody's got a different plan for how they want this fight to end. They are torn among themselves, & tension thrives.
Track Name: If Trump Were President
Chorus:

Let us leave this broken land, & rent a flat in Toronto.
We can get their rather quick by my dad's minivan.
And I don't even care if Trump won't let us back in,
as to not see again his smug-ass grin.

Verse:

And maybe we'll vacation in a lively town in Mexico,
& buy a hundred Trump piñatas as our souvenirs.
We'll smash these mindless blokes after the plane trip back up north.
It will be so therapeutic, & we'll feel so alive.

Chorus:

Let us leave this broken land, & rent a flat in Toronto.
We can get their rather quick by my dad's minivan.
And I don't even care if Trump won't let us back in,
as to not see again his smug-ass grin.

Outro:

as to not see again his smug-ass grin.
as to not see again his smug-ass grin.
Track Name: Long Day
Verse:

Absentmindedly progress from one hour to the next.
Sleep eludes the stress that's trivial when at its best.

Through this day you simply follow repetition through your sorrow.
You think that this haze will end, but then tomorrow's the same damn thing again.

Chorus:

Oh, I think it's gonna be a long day.
Oh, I think it's gonna be a long day.
Track Name: Last Song
This is the very last song of the very last album of 2015
As applicable in Central Standard Time.
I hope this has been a great listen for you, & have a happy new year,
cause this is the very last song of 2015.
