Staring out the window in the early morning
Anticipating precipitation
A winter storm is on everyone’s mind
mixed with tire and hesitation.
December didn’t feel like winter, no,
but now you can’t go inches without seeing snow.
They say the worst is yet to come,
but I really hope it already has.
I was done with winter before it began.
But now it seems that it is still far from its end.
So, when I get the chance, I’ll cozy up in my bed
and wait for winter to turn into spring.
Watch the weather forecast on the nightly news.
Anticipating precipitation
The winter storm is just all that they are watching
Until they flip over the show’s sports section.
December didn’t feel like winter, no,
but now you can’t go inches without seeing snow.
They say the worst is yet to come,
but I really hope it already has.
I was done with winter before it began.
But now it seems that it is still far from its end.
So, when I get the chance, I’ll cozy up in my bed,
and wait for winter to turn into spring.

On The Other End
02:56
|
|||
Verse 1:
He's almost down 'cause he's like us,
And we're free to be ourselves, oh yea.
He said what he needs to say, but
now he has no place to stay no more.
Chorus:
I wanna tell him it will be alright.
I see him struggle every day & night.
And I know his pain to some extent,
but I'm still living on the other end.
Verse 2:
His past friends won't speak his name.
They think that it's somehow a disgrace.
This opportunity cost he took caused
some to not take a second look at all.
Chorus:
I wanna tell him it will be alright.
I see him struggle every day & night.
And I know his pain to some extent,
but I'm still living on the other end.
Bridge:
And if you take the path he chose,
there could be days with little hope.
But there's always someone who cares.
There's always someone there.

Infinite Fog
03:07
|
|||
Verse 1:
Years have gone by
and I have seen you in many different lights.
Hate & Conviction.
Love & Support.
I don’t know why I stick around.
The facts could drive you to push me deep into the ground.
Chorus:
I have changed over these years.
My past is shrouded in infinite fog.
Should this change be irreconcilable in your eyes,
To you, I really should say goodbye.
Verse 2:
You, you think I fell on a broken path.
But I see that my road is smoother than yours.
Flawed? Sure, if I’m wrong. But you have no way to validate it.
Dead? Sure, in your mind. But know that I’m always standing tall.
Chorus:
I have changed over these years.
My past is shrouded in infinite fog.
Should this change be irreconcilable in your eyes,
To you, I really should say goodbye.

Trees
04:10
|
|||
Trees. They go with the flow. They've no way to understand a thing.
Trees. They sway with the breeze. Oblivious to pain they cannot see.
And they can't break the system. They couldn't know where to start.
It outta break their non-existent hearts.

6. |
||||
Go, Go, Go! Your life is spinning around.
But you're still procrastination on this 3 chord sound.
Go, Go, Go before time runs out.
You've got two important meetings in the middle of the week now.
Go, Go, Go, but try for neat & fast, because
you don't want these tasks to take up all of your rest.
Go, Go, Go until you have to put your world on pause.
So much to do.
So little time.
I'm almost speechless 'cause I'm wasted all my breath on singing
songs about staying on task
when I'm not on task with tasks that really haven't started yet.
"Go Go Go" I say, but I just underestimate my
skills at breaking down this work.
So much to do.
So little time.
But if I break it down.
"I think I'll do just fine." I say until I start to
fear that this won't get done in time,
but I know I've enough time.
This I contemplate for hours of my life now.
"Go Go Go" I say, but doing is another thing,
cause now my head is cluttered, hence why now I start to sing about this.
So much to do.
So little time.
But if I break it down.
I think I'll do just fine.
I know I'll do just fine.
The certainty just takes a darker corner of my mind.

Red-Studded Hands
02:26
|
|||
6 blokes remain in the GOP candidate race.
Each who remains will try to unwind the progress we’ve made.
One hundred times worse than Clinton or Sanders by far.
If a right-wing man wins, I’m saner just floating past Mars.
If the executive branch falls into red-studded hands,
I’ll hope and dream for a distant land.
I’d wish for a spaceship that could travel near the speed of light.
Years would go by on earth, and only take weeks of my time.
And I would not come back until a democrat is president again.

Move Forward
03:21
|
|||
One day I’ll move forward from the former me
who has stuck around for far too long.
Throughout these years he’s simply been a facade
For the greater person that I have become.
I am not one to stand for something
that drives me up & down the wall.
This I can’t yet oppose directly when you’re near.
But someday the confidence will come.
One day I’ll move forward from the former me
who has stuck around for far too long.
Throughout these years he’s simply been a facade
For the greater person that I have become.
Speaking out on my behalf won’t help a soul.
It’s misrepresentation at its best.
Censorship you push asserting dominance.
It builds no character at all.
One day I’ll move forward from the former me
who has stuck around for far too long.
Throughout these years he’s simply been a facade
For the greater person that I have become.

Backbone
02:21
|
|||
There's construction on the streets and
The little talking boxes run to their feet, yeah.
Using words that they don't know to sound smart
To sound so state-of-the-art.
Running in & out of timezones.
I’m searching for a backbone.
I try to find it but, I’ve no clue about where it is.
I must’ve misplaced it again,
because I’m feeling kind of off.
The earth seems to spin without me, in a sense.
Cause folks just aren’t self-aware of the minds that they tear
when they pull this crazy world all over the place.
Now there’s tension in the breeze, and
the privileged have fell to their knees.
Cause they feel at a loss ‘cause the world’s waking up & making
progress from regression. Down with inhumane oppression.
Still out & ‘bout these timezones.
I’ve yet to find a backbone.
I’ve tried to find it but I’ve no clue about where it is.
I must’ve misplaced it again.
Running in & out of timezones.
I’m searching for a backbone.
I try to find it but, I’ve no clue about where it is.
I must’ve misplaced it again.

I Don't Care
01:57
|
|||
You don't care to hear what I think.
If words were boats, you'd make flotillas sink.
You never want to hear what I've gotta say,
y'still go on for hours much to mutual dismay, but
I don't care about the message that you send.
You never seem to open up your ears.
Speaking your mind is only half the battle
if we want an open dialog & not a speech & not a lecture.
I've listened to all your points,
and could refute them if you let me speak,
but "Censor & Censure the dissenting opinion" is the
only thing occuring when you know you've lost this arguement and
I don't care about the message that you send.
You never seem to listen to mine.
Speaking your mind is only half the battle
if we want an open dialog & not an unreceptive preacher.

The Ubuntu Song
00:55
|
|||
I've got an old HP that ran Windows 8,
and a new Toshiba that is running Windows 10,
The HP one only works if the screen's at a right angle.
Hey why don't I try something new because I can, & so I do.
I installed Ubuntu on my old computer.
The entire process took three hours, cause I had to
Figure out the BIOS settings, format my old USB drive,
and figure out how to make this flashdrive bootable.
Command Prompts, New Partitions, Recognizable File Structures.
But if I bump the screen, I'm back to square one.
And when it finally installed, my laptop ran faster than ever before.
But then I learned that installing software on Ubuntu a pain.
And then I simply got bored.

Dropping Like Flies
01:30
|
|||
Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Rand Paul & Rick Perry
Carly Fiorina & Jim Gilmore
Rick Santorum, Lindsey Graham, George Pataki, Bobby Jindal
Scott Walker, & Mike Huckabee
All these republicans are dropping like flies,
and that is a wonderful sight for my eyes,
but 5 of them are still in the race, & they are
John Kasich, Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Trump's Wig, Ted Cruz, & Marco Rubio.
I don't like a single one, and if you want what's best for this country,
you'll vote for Bernie Sanders this Tuesday.
All these republicans are dropping like flies,
and that is a wonderful sight for my eyes, yea.
I said all these republicans are dropping like flies,
and that is a wonderful sight for my eyes.
